It's been quite busy the last couple of weeks. Besides doing a lot of shows with Kris Berry and our band, I became one of the ten ambassadors of fundraising campaign ‘Klassiek Geeft’, organised by Radio 4 NL. Other ambassadors included her majesty the Queen of the Netherlands Maxima and Herman van Veen. ‘Klassiek Geeft’ evokes people to donate their unused musical instruments so they can be refurbished and then used in music lessons at primary schools. The goal of the charity is getting children to learn to play an instrument at a young age. In order to raise money, every ambassador auctioned something online. What else? I became the host of a new weekly item on Radio 6 NL called 'Perq's Preference', in which I choose a song that has been inspiring to me. Every week I pick a different song which is aired on Wednesday night. Check out last week's item right here.
