Exactly ten years ago today, on April 7th 2016, Jeangu Macrooy’s very first EP ‘Brave Enough’, which I produced, was released on Unexpected Records. It not only marked the beginning of Jeangu’s career as a releasing artist, but also the start of a fruitful & joyful collaboration between the two of us that continues to this day.
Over the years I’ve had the privilege of watching Jeangu grow as an artist, a performer and as a person. It has been an incredible journey, from intimate shows to major stages like Paradiso, North Sea Jazz, the Eurovision Song Contest and Lowlands. And it all started with this first EP :)
